Ercole Olivario is the most important extravirgin olive oil quality
competition in Italy. Maybe you should define it the "oscar" of extravirgin.
Every spring the best italian olive oils, selected from each region
(Sardegna, Sicilia, Toscana etc) compete in Spoleto. There are 1st and 2nd
prizes for three categories (light, medium and intense fruity) and both for
normal and dop extravirgin olive oils.
