from the Providore Central Market (the gourmet food shop), I will be giving
a talk on olive oil on 24 August at 2-4pm at the Centre Om (7 Compton
Street, off Gouger Street and opposite the Adelaide Central Market). It is
aimed at consumers (although growers and retailers may be interested as
well) and will cover the making of olive oil, the grading system, storage,
stability, cooking with olive oil, health properties, organic and
biodynamic oil, and comparison with other oils. There will also be a
